As President and Founder of Wheelhouse Coaching, I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your team. From 2006 through 2015, I was Principal owner and President of Zimmer Midwest - a commissioned, independent distributor for Zimmer, Inc., in the medical device market. We successfully managed over $240M of inventory with unique distribution patterns while we grew manufacturer sales to over $100M with 92 employees working out of 3 offices in Indiana and Ohio.

Joining an independent Zimmer distributor in 1990, I went from a Sales Associate to VP of Sales in 1997 to Co-Distributor in 2006. I then had the opportunity to buy the business as a principal owner in 2006 and then led the organization (Zimmer Midwest) as President through 2015 when I negotiated its sale back to Zimmer. Zimmer Midwest was a medical device sales business with unique distribution requirements that grew manufacturers sales over $36M during my tenure and had 92 employees when sold. FDA and Medicare compliance standards were stringent and fully complied with. In addition, 80% of the management team was developed from within and employee retention was exceptionally high.
My career was built on a strong sales record, but I always had an entrepreneurial spirit as I started two successful businesses before graduating college. I joined Gazelles International Coaches due to their outstanding Four Decisions framework (key four decisions of running a business - People, Strategy, Execution & Cash), the Rockefeller Habits Checklist and their famous One Page Strategic Plan. While independent, this gives me a toolbox to compliment my leadership background as an executive business coach. In addition, I remain independent with access to numerous tools to assist my clients. I’ve learned from both successes and mistakes running my business which I can now use to help facilitate better planning and decision making with others. Outside of work, I am family focused with my incredible wife Jana and three grown children: Megan, Kiersten and Dillon who have earned professional degrees as they now care for the health of people and animals. We love the outdoors, lake activities, traveling near and abroad, staying active and caring for our chocolate lab, Hank! Our extended families meet for almost all holidays and annual family reunions so we remain very close. Philanthropy is Jana’s main passion. I support as best I can. Bottom line, we have been very blessed, enjoy large friend circles and truly enjoy people.
